Recently a friend asked me about stripping some intricate woodwork. I recommended a soda blaster. I have used a bigger version of these in the restoration business on sooted roof trusses so I knew they could remove the finish and not damage the wood since they are much less aggressive than a sand blaster. They are reasonably priced and definitely the way to go if you’ve got something like an intricately detailed door, etc.
